There are few "bald" pokemon that don't feel a bit uncanny, and this is even worse when the pokemon in question is supposed to be some kind of mammal. I get that this is supposed to be a helmet and Chesnaught's ears are probably underneath (though we never even get to see them), but this just doesn't look good.

I'd say the thing that accentuates Chesnaught's baldness is its "beard". Mons like Baxcalibur and Skeledirge suffer from the same problem; they have some kind of feature under or around their jaw but absolutely nothing at the top of their head. To use a "bald" mon that doesn't suffer from this as an example, you have Squirtle.

Galar is a region with absolutely no legacy. The most impact it had on the series was being the generation that introduced the Dexcut - the thing that permanently split the fanbase in half and arguably changed the nature of discussing games online as a whole by exposing just how many people are willing to defend multi billion dollar companies.
But the region of Galar and Sword and Shield themselves? What can you even say about them in 2025? Horrible plot, the first games with forced EXP share, bad regional dex, forgettable cast of characters, games peaked at a just barely okay DLC, gameplay mechanics that were done much better by PLA and SV, the anime wasn't even about Galar and purposely went against the Dexcut...
Legitimately, by this point in time you'd have people easing up on games that were pretty roughly received when they first launched. Unova has its cult following and staunch defenders, people remember XY as the games with great online, ORAS as... remakes that were better than BDSP, Alola still gets plenty of fanart and love for its cast of characters.
What does Galar have? Even more Kanto dickriding? People wanting to fuck Marnie? Dynamax, which was replaced by the much better received Terastallize mechanic, and mogged into fucking oblivion by Mega Evolution in terms of popularity and franchise relevance?
