Because Charizard was originally going to be fire/dragon but that was wayyyy to strong in gen 1 so they made the 2nd typing flying instead. Same goes for Gyarados

Galar killed it, most of the gen 9 ones are too abstract. I remember while playing getting the Psychic icon mixed up with Fairy all the time because it looked so similar to Gen 8's fairy icon.

the only reason people like Dragonite is because he is a psudo. if he didnt have the stats people would think he is just a fat girly dragon. which he is. the same thing truth is with Garchomp. infinite seething of subpoke shitmons.
They will never be good dragon designs.
