Sygna Suit cute wife Whitney would have another of her Normal-Type Pokemon. I think a Lickilicky, Ambipom or an Ursaring would be good but she could have some new additions like a Mega Audino, Wyrdeer or Furret.
Outfits are a bit hard for me to decide for my cute wife because she is just adorable in anything and everything! The safest bet would be a sporty evolution of her Pokeathlon outfit. If she was doing another seasonal like her Xmas pair, cute wife would be perfect for Palentines! Since chefs, cooks and maids have been done heavily, I think a nice angelic cupid outfit would be great for my cute wife. Though depending on who she is paired with, she could also pull off a more devious, devlish take of cupid as well.
My cute wife Whitney has gotta get a Poke-Fair for her Sygna Suit alt. It's extremely unlikely she'd ever get a Master Fair or an Arc Suit, though I have done a quick Arc Suit mockup before.
Cute wife's existing pairs already do well with the whole flinch thing. So to still keep up with that theme and also be unique from all other pairs currently in the game, I would have Sygna Suit Cute Wife be a Strike or Tech that stacked as many volatile status conditions/Interference as possible. Her main kit would be applying flinch, confuse and trap. And her grid would simply be increasing that damage to ludicrous amounts. Then just to top off, she would apply Normal Rebuff down since none of her existing pairs can do that yet.
Or better yet, just give my cute wife a reworked Attract that works on everything and have her grid gain massive damage from it when active.

It definitely wasn't the case for Gen IV (especially since Ethan was the primary focus for HGSS) but when developing BW they were using a chibi little May model to test out the new graphics, when they were developing XY they used Hilda models to test the 3D battling and this culminates into ORAS where they finished May's redesign and model for earlier builds while Brendan was just using Calem's models

I was thinking something similar. A cool custom passive for a Sygna Suit Whitney would be one that triples the damage of Normal-type moves that include a flinch effect used by all allies. So that way, putting her alongside any of the other Whitneys turns them into DPS units while still boosting itself.
Her main move could be like B Fake Out that has an effect that causes the opponent to flinch only the first time it's used, but then would have a bonus effect where when it's used and the opponent doesn't flinch from that attack, it gives all allies +3 Sync Up Next. B Fake Out would still get the passive triple boost and retain some faithfulness to Fake Out with the first time relevancy while still being very useful the rest of the battle. The Sync boost would build up Whitney and H Whitney with their Tech Syncs.
For the premium stuff, it could get a passive that guarantees critical hits for all allies using a Normal-type move that includes a flinch effect and all allies using a Normal-type Sync. For another premium passive it can get the ability to raise an ally's Atk by 2 when the ally attacks and the opponent doesn't become flinched from that attack. So that way, the Whitneys can get to +6 Atk with Crit.

Anon, you and I both know we won't get Z-A characters for at least a year, at which point it completely misses the point of doing a tie-in to the release period. Arc Serena would be in line with how SSR Cynthia released during the BDSP/PLA period, where to this day we still haven't gotten any of the Origin formes. With Arc they would get to do Zygarde again because it's factually Zygarde's game, and reserve the new stuff revealed post-release for the actual PLZA characters.
Similarly, I think Arc Diantha will be this fall, so that she ties in closer to the release date yet gets to also remain a spoiler-free no-brainer unit banking on the Kalos revisit to reinvigorate fondness for her.

Arc Suits killed the game for a lot of people because they were a new banner that was asking for way more just to get a literal rehash. The standard scout points on a banner is 400, but for Arc Suits it's 500. You can't use role candies on them either, only yellow omni candies. They had 5/5 grids too with key passives at level 4 and higher. It was a major greedy move that people criticized and caused a massive downturn in interest for the game. What's worse is that the monthly gem count didn't even get much higher to make up for it. This anni they might be trying to earn back goodwill with people with the free Pokefairs, extra gems, and alleged new banner type to move past the infamy of Arc units.

I could be biased though due to my luck, for example, I got Arc Alder on my last multi before pity, so I was able to get him to 2/5 and eventually 3/5. My main thing is that they're mid at 1/5. If they're harder to increase move level with, they should be much stronger, akin to a 3/5 masterfair. It's why I didn't pull for Arc Ethan or Silver either. Arc Silver is rather awkward and doesn't have as good of a synergy with Arc Leon, despite EX sun. Until we get a field fire unit, we're stuck with SS Morty, and he will still be solid anyways. Now, however, if they were more lenient about omni candies, I might be more willing.
Point here is, there was little change in profit. It's mostly the game's age catching up that's making them be more generous eg. with the recent paid Pokefair select being ALL units, not just of a role.

Well that's why I phrased it as "for many people". Obviously there are people still here but I'm not going to act like people didn't drop off because of it. That's like saying getting stabbed at the gas station sucks sure but at least you're not dying of malaria in the scorching sun of Africa. Then those people dying of malaria can say oh but it's not the worst thing, at least I'm not being eaten alive by an animal. There's always a way to downplay the severity, so it's not a helpful angle if your goal is just being better than the absolute worst you can think of. Because the fact of the matter is, people don't want to be just better than worst, they want to move in the other direction toward best.
And that's the other thing as you give your anecdote about the units. They cannibalize each other because of their reliance on the same yellow candies. It was poor short term planning led by greed that stifles their own ability to sell Arc Suits, as their spamming of them leads to a breaking point in affordability. Why candy Arc Silver to 4/5 for the ability to crit ruthlessly denied from the base kit when you can candy someone else for a 2nd B Move nuke? It wasn't worth designing them this way to begin with.

It would've been much more profitable for them to focus on good sales like the candy ones than alienating a portion of the playerbase by embracing a tougher banner. They get most of their money from whales, but whales and content creators have been resentful too.

Olivia boosts her critical hit rate early on in this round, which Sygna Misty can clear with Haze, and then literally fade into the background build gauge cheap with water gun while getting free evasion boosts. Kris and Siebold are both big sync move nukers with their auto-crit trainer moves, but that needs them to be EX'ed to get the full effect of course. Which water-types did you try? Lance and Battle Tower Leon are both quite strong at this power level but Leon is newer and offers more value with his stream of debuffs so I'd say work on him first. Drasna is also strong and Toxic is always nice to have on hand, just lost in the shuffle if you have stronger limiteds. Cyrus and Palkia are free over in the Legendary Adventures for another special Strike.

It was 7 full months of jack shit to use stamina on. The event pacing of this game is horrible. Basically you have nothing to spend stamina on for almost full year then during anniversary they put 20 reruns at once without giving you more stamina. Character events are the worst because there's no multipliers. Next month they're probably going to rerun 3 more while adding a new one so if you think the stamina is bad now you're in for a surprise.
