erm ackshually, the proper and canonical terminology is "gender unknown"
implying they possibly do have bits, but in-universe pokemon studies don't have an determination of them
also semi-releated, the "no eggs discovered" group's name would imply that these pokemon are capable of breeding in lore, but there is no method for them breeding known in captivity

Technically it's gender unknown, most of them can still breed with ditto so they still have some way of contributing reproductive cells. We just don't know how to categorize them as male/female or if they've got something more complex going on like a 3-sex system where both a "female" deposits "egg" cells and a "male" deposits "sperm" cells in a 3rd individual that incubates the offspring and contributes dna by fluid/nutrient exchange with the developing fetus in which case ditto mimics 2 missing sexes, hermaphrodites where each individual has both eggs and sperm and swaps sperm with a partner for genetic variation like earthworms, or asexual reproduction where an individual splits into two like an amoeba in which case the ditto is irrelevant outside of game mechanics.

It seems to me the Genderless/Gender Unknown classification is for Pokémon who overall just don't neatly fit in to exactly either male or female.

Like with the Genderless/Gender Unknown classification, it seems to me that the No Eggs/Undiscovered Egg Group is just a general catch-all classification for Pokémon of various different reasons why they can't breed in the Breeding System of the games. Such as they can't breed at all, just refuse to do so or can only do so in extremely specific means not really possible via the regular method we see get with the games.

My modded Iron Valiant. Removed legs and added more skirt segments, skirt parts revolve around its hips. It now futuristically hovers around the battlefield, wielding a futuristic pink emission double sided lightsaber (but actually more of a naginata). It looks more futuristic this way because a guy on TV told me that.
Maybe I'll care enough about Pokemon again one day to actually implement it in-game. As of now I think I'll just 3d print it as some sort of futuristic lamp shade with a futuristic rotating skirt, it'll serve the dual-purpose of not only emitting futuristic pink light, but also futuristically blowing a bit of wind downwards to look cool. A guy on TV told me that.
