It'll be the only thing you'll use to use it at all because you gotta grind the damn thing 20 levels before you actually get the fucking Pokemon you want, meanwhile Celadon gives you a level 40 Larvitar that takes 15 levels to be a Tyranitar you can use in Kanto. 16 if you learn Earthquake at level 56 with Pupitar instead of evolving it immediately. There's no reason to give a shit about Bagon when there's nothing to do with it outside of Battle Tower/Frontier anyway, it might as well not be an option

I honestly don't get the baxcalibur hate. It was the first time I've ever used a psuedo on my team in a main playthrough and I've been playing since Blue. The first stage is pretty ugly, but whats wrong with the ice godzilla?

He's really close to awesome, I think he just suffers from the newer less detailed style. The body just looks kinda like a big undefined blob. And extending the ice muzzle slightly farther back over his head would look better imo. Kinda like pic related.

This series needs a bit more traditional dragons in my opinion. I mean, what are the closest things? Salamence? Hydreigon? The rest are either dinosaurs, lizards and reptiles standing upright, not-Digimons or only have the Dragon type because of their name or folklore attached. Not that I don't enjoy designs like Kingdra, Garchomp, Haxorus or Alolan Exeggutor, but man I'd have loved something similar to picrel as an Ice Dragon instead of "Godzilla again except it's bald and has a sword in its back".

Maybe, but what it lacks in "interesting concept", it makes up for it with a lot more coolness and elegance. Sometimes, I feel like it's important to go back to the basics instead of always trying to attach an original gimmick or concept behind a design. Just make a traditional RPG dragon as a Pseudo for a change, fuck it, who cares?

Yea its really plain and boring. Metagross is basically a blob of blue but it still manages to be more striking and vibrant than baxcalibur because of the interesting design. Bax just looks like a druddigon type dragon and nothing is there to tell you that erm actually it flips upside down and shoots cold air put of its mouth to charge with its back scales. Which to be honest is a really dumb move, its upside down and backwards how does it land with any accuracy you should be able to 360 and slowly moonwalk away from glaive rush

The entire Baxcalibur line is hideous so probably that. I think it's really telling that they made a pseudo that's downright broken in 1v1s but still has like no fans. The power gap between it and TTar in the fanbase can be felt from miles away.

I think the issue with Baxcalibur is that it's JUST a walking reference, it doesn't stand on its own at all. Tyranitar isn't even my favorite pesudo but I respect and appreciate the design, Godzillia inspired or no. It's just a cool monster, meanwhile Baxcalibur is exceedingly lame and any criticism aimed at it is deflected with "well, it's a reference" as if that makes up for it.

tl;dr it being a reference doesn't make it good
