Im a shiny hunter who just started Scarlet. How can I start breeding for shinies right away? I dont have a foreign ditto unfortunately. Its my understanding there is no breeder in this game
I recommend you MM in Pokemon SwSh if it's available there.
The shiny odds are the same, but the acquisition of eggs in SV is a fucking chore that killed breeding for me. It literally takes 2x as long since getting eggs and hatching them must now be done in 2 separate steps.

Breeding is out, you get shinies now through mass outbreaks, way less grindy. If you still want to use breeding, you have to use the picnic feature. The eggs will appear in the basket by the table. You just need to have both mons you want to fuck each other in your team and wait. You should make an egg power sandwich to speed up the process.
I would be able to give you a foreign Ditto btw, but with shitty IVs.
