What's Dark Violet like? Would you recommend it?

HeartGold, in Kanto atm. Decided to make a completely new team to make things more interesting. My Johto League team was; Feraligatr, Victreebel, Arcanine, Mamoswine, Espeon & Murkrow.

Yeah it's in the Safari Zone along with Misdreavus. Houndour's still post-game though and Slugma has the egg. Pretty sure Sneasel got moved back to Post-Game even though it was in Ice Path in Crystal and Larvitar's still Post-Game too.

Just got to Nimbasa though I need to go back to Castelia to nickname Braviary

In White 2 there's a level 25 stationary Braviary on the desert route between Nimbasa/Castelia. It's a Mandibuzz in Black 2.

I'm also gonna use the level 35 Volcarona from Relic Castle. I traded over the Deino and Beldum as eggs from my White 1 save.

The last of my Emerald Legacy runs for an indefinite period of time.

Manectric didn't get any major changes but having Thundershock as soon as you catch Electrike is a welcome improvement.

Slaking is also virtually unchanged.

Mightyena got +5 in HP, Attack, and Defense as well as +10 in Speed. Dark being physical now really helps it. It learns Crunch much earlier (34) and learns Super Fang at level 50. I forgot how awful Poochyena is at the start.

You can get a Numel via in game trade in Rustboro. As a Camerupt, it loses 10 in Speed but gains +20 in HP and +5 in Attack and Special Attack. Flame Body is it's only ability.

Staryu can be caught as soon as you get the Good Rod now and since there's a Water Stone in Petalburg via Surf, you can evolve it right away. The Illuminate ability now ignores Accuracy loss and enemy Evasion boost.

Tropius loses 3 in Attack but gains +21 in HP and +13 in Special Attack. It now has Thick Fat as an alternate ability.

It's a more story-focused (for better or worse) version of Kanto. The level curve is a bit steep (Lv. 16 Onix for Brock and Lv. 27 Starmie for Misty).

beat Y last week and have been messing around in postgame with some of the other megas etc, team was all mid-60s when I cleared champ
ampharos is my designated mega because absol stone wasn't available until postgame and gallade wasn't introduced until ORAS which I didn't think about when assembling my team

Just started a run on radical red. I use the dex nav and get the best mon in the route but other then that it’s a nuzlocke. I’ve been making fun of typhlosion lately but he rolled soul heart for his ability so he has some potential for this run.

Rolled arena trap on this it learns quiver dance and has a reliable way of healing. I think this is going to be a good run
