Despite that, it's still one of the best Pokémon games. If it released in the same state it is not on the Switch 2, it would've gotten an 80 easily.

The gameplay is a step up from sword/shield, but the game itself was disgraceful levels of unpolished at launch. Clearly rushed or far behind schedule.
They should have held it back a few more months and made it great, but a major pokemon game launch has to hit other deadlines for tie-ins and marketing reasons so that didnt happen.

At some point you have to realise people just do it to themselves. SV was a major step up from SwSh in just about every way but gets lambasted for the very things people handwaved a single generation before.

I don't have "my" 50 Pokémon. I use the Pokémon that the game offers me and appeal to me or fit my purposes. I use different Pokémon every game. I have very, very rarely used the same species twice.
