Oh and the good guys travel in a ship with lots of pokemon so you tend to see minor pokes around but none of them is Eevee.

Did you mean why not a different move type? Cause if so it's because Charcadet only learns four moves of different types naturally. And of those four, he already knows one(Clear Smog) and the other three don't fit his character(Astonish, Leer, and Night Shade) as he's pretty clearly going to evolve into the more honorable and chivalrous Armarouge. Even when taking his egg moves into account Destiny Bond, Disable, and Spite still fit a Charcadet that's going to evolve into a Ceruledge more. And when it comes to TMs i could maybe see Protect(because knights are suppose to defend the weak), Endure(Again this is what knights are suppose to do) Helping Hand(Once again a proper knight does help those in need)and maybe even Rest (Self-explanatory) and but nothing else.

Given we have Roy with a old Mega and Uruto with a new Mega I wonder if that's going to remain the same for Dot and Liko (assuming they get Megas. I also wonder if they're just going to forgo evolution outright and have the Pokemon just be in their final stage right out the gate. If Dot ends up getting a new Mega I'd like for her to get Frosslass, but I could see her getting a Eelektross because of Iono's constant reference to them or a Hawlucha since its a bit of a showman which could fit in the Dot being a streamer. Honestly I'm not a fan of the type overlap since Dot already has a possible Gholdengo overlapping with Tinkatuff so I'd still prefer the Frosslass.

Personally prefer Froslass for Liko. Dot is somewhat of a wild card with what megas fit her.

I only watched the new anime recently and I'm a bit disappointed, the main characters (liko is a bit boring and Roy feels like an ash clone) are ok at best, they get overshadowed by the rest of the cast which is much more interesting. i genuinely live every single character except for those two. I've only seen the first episodes so hopefully this changes

I remember reading in a similar thread that they left ash's departure in the anime an open ending so if the new protag flops they can bring him back, it made me laugh at bit but to be honest a little part of me wishes they could do that. I miss team rocket. It's a shame because I remember being so excited about the next pokemon anime protag.

what do you think veepee? Am I just nostalgia blind or did you also think the new protagonist is kinda boring? do they change in the newest episodes?
