>>58174652 (OP) >Inteleon
Iterates on the theme of a shy, camouflaging chameleon by turning into a spy. Incorporates various features from other lizard species like the the ability to glide or run on water to further develop the spy theme with a secret "bag of tricks". Uses the water typing in a novel way with its water jet hand guns, also further complimenting the spy theme. The spy theme itself cleverly ties into the region's British basis especially alongside its fellow starters, a football player and a rock star drummer. >This stupid thing
"what if a chameleon was really big and spiky"
>>58174652 (OP)
sobble should have been scrapped and replaced with any number of different fan-made starter ideas. I'm a big fan of the water possum, mangrove crab, fishing cat, and amphibious centipede as inspiration for the line.
>>58174652 (OP)
As usual, /vp/enises being contrarians. This is pretty good and certainly better than actual Inteleon, though the spikes on the tail really feel unnecessary, maybe even the horns too.
>>58174863
contrarian is disliking something due to it being perceived as popular. It's not contrarian for people to dislike something because its design is poor. The contrarians on here, however, see that most of us here dislike inteleon, so claim to like it to be contrarian. I know english can be a bit confusing at times for those who have it as a second language but you'll get better with practice.
>>58174652 (OP)
All you need to do is make Inteleon less gangly and change its gun concept into a camouflage one. >but what about gigantimax
no clue lol
>>58174868
There's nothing bad about Inteleon's design. People on this board are just massively insecure about liking anything that isn't a big fat monster hence all the completely schizophrenic screeching about popular designs in a children's video game series being "furbait" or "tranny" or "incel".
>>58174811 >"The spy theme itself cleverly ties into the region's British basis especially alongside its fellow starters, a football player and a rock star drummer." >he says this like its a good thing
>>58175125
Wait, that's actually kinda cool.
Sobble is a crybaby, so having its evolution weaponize its rather than stopping crying altogether is a great idea.
But I guess that's not British enough.
>>58175560
Intardleon cucks are getting more and more desperate and butthurt every day on /vp/. They can't even properly defend their gay jobmon starter without ad hominem seething or sperging out into schizobabble whataboutism about rillaboom.
>>58175727
Pokémon like Blaziken or Inteleon are popular with women. And small cute mons like Eevee of course. Feminine creatures are not that appealing for them in the first place, but Meganium barely even counts as that. It's a chubby dinosaur first and foremost. It's no Gardevoir.
>>58174811
Reminder to themetroons that Design alway trumps Theme. If a design is cool, beautiful, cute, sexy, or otherwise appealing, it’s automatically better than le theme designs.
>>58176507
Well I can't be sure how popular exactly, but some that would be seen as waifumons here, like Primarina, seem to be liked by women for more normal reasons and it did dominate in that twitter poll I saw posted here. Same for Sylveon, yes it's a cute mon, but also like the most girly eevee.
But you're right, Meganium isn't really the same.
>>58178044
Having the arms attached to the cape is just stupid. The whole pointt of the design is that it's more than it appears, it's a secret agent with hidden tricks up its sleeve. You're not supposed to realize that it can glide or that it has hidden spikes in its tail or that its hands are guns until you actually see it in action.
>>58174869
You’re right, but the one in OP is just unpleasant to look at. It has a downie face and is plastered in pointless details. There really isn’t a point to the design outside of looking as ugly and retarded as possible.
>>58176912
Left is definitely a mess in terms of readability but at least it conveys that the character is supposed to be some sort of hearth goddess, even if you didn’t know about Hestia. Right doesn’t convey anything, even though it’s simpler and more visually pleasant. If you want to make an attractive Hestia just make a motherly onee-san instead of a jk.
>>58178783 >If you want to make an attractive Hestia just make a motherly onee-san instead of a jk
How the fuck does that matter when some people don't like onee-sans and others don't like JKs? Readability (objective) has nothing to do with attractiveness (subjective)
>>58179148
dude... if you dislike the design because you find the design poor, it means that's your opinion. Not a fact. You're calling me an autist when you're having to form some bizarre strawman out of "if you don't like the design on its own merits it's not contrarianism"
>>58174652 (OP) >gets giga claws out of nowhere >loses every single chamaleon trait like the limbs specialized hands/feet out of nowhere, becomes generic dragon instead
Why? Inteleon gained normal hands but it didn't hinder its mobility
>>58179236
I never understood why people complained when we got duplicates of a particular animal or concept. There are duplicates of animals or concepts irl too. Nobody's claiming a muscovy duck and a wood duck are the same thing. Why not have a mon for each? etc etc. I would readily accept another loch ness monster-inspired design, especially considering lapras only kind of fits the description anyway. Any modern depiction of it would be starkly different.
>>58176912
The point of Hestia's design in Danmachi is for you to feel horny and buy overpriced merchandise of her. The point of Hestia's design in Hades is to be a cool fire goddess you get fire powers from. Neither of them are bad, they fit perfectly for their respective series and if you think the point of all character design should just be "how do we make the sexiest lady possible?" you're genuinely retarded.
>>58174811
Whole lot of midwits seething about a design that takes more than 3 seconds to appreciate. You're the equivalent of manchildren who won't eat anything with a flavour more complex than french fries and chicken nuggets.
>>58179569 >meowscarada
Maybe, I admit I just forgot about it. >Incineroar
lol no, half the reason people complain about it on here is because of its inhuman proportions like the "noodle arms" and "sausage fingers" which are actual features of real tigers with their fuckhuge paws. Meanwhile Blaziken is literally just a man with a chicken head. It has the exact same proportions as a human and even has straight up arms instead of anything resembling wings.
>>58174811 >if I bend my brain into all kinds of weird shapes the skinny fag lizard isn't quite as cringe as everyone else thinks it is
How about making a cool looking spy lizard then instead of excusing cringe bullshit, turbofag?
