Pokemon are no longer designed by one person. Some are, but the majority of pokemon that get hate are designed by a room of people instead of just Sugamori or Turner. Examples are Cinderace and Inteleon. Pokemon are also referred to as animals now, not monsters. I don't understand why we have jobmons. I don't understand the appeal of having a soccer player or a spy on my team compared to a dragon or a giant sea tortoise with hydro cannons. People love to bring up Turner's Vanillite line, but at least it isn't an ice cream salesman ice type with a stupid little hat and an ice cream scooper as a weapon.

I dislike the philosophy they became adamant with final starter evolutions. Though I think they toned it down somewhat in gen 9.

I don't like how most of the new Pokemon seem made to be easy to make 3D models for or at least are thought with 3D first. I hate most of Galar's sex for that specifically. My favorite designs are fat monstermons

Pokemon were never designed by one person. Sugimori just took the existing designs and unified them. THAT'S the issue.
