What is the last poke'mon to act like it was choking itself or hanging itself? Let's start there. I don't think Mega-Vicretebell's design is appropriate let alone okay.
From the blatant weed symbol to the cup of lean (acid), I think Mega-Victrebell is a tasteless and dark, yet derpy depiction of a suicidal soundcloud rapper. I know how this sounds, but that's more or less the basis of my claim: It's a cup of lean with a face choking itself, and a weed symbol above it. It's just strange, tasteless, and kind of dark honestly. And then let's say I'm totally right then what's the big deal? Plenty of people might say it's just a funny take but personally I just find it so tasteless that I don't think it's cool but that's just my opinion and I know everyone will feel differently. I don't care that much about rap or any specific rappers or genres but I don't think it's cool either way. It could be a design choking itself with an amp cord covered in white dust and I'd say that's a tasteless depiction of an 80's dude. To me, it's just not cool because it's a poke'mon choking itself while depicting something from real life and it comes across as subtle and sort of evil.
I'm obviously open to the suggestion it's some specific rare plant that chokes itself, or it's an interesting take on some particular plant that's overfilled with a purple kind of poison, or whatever the case is, but I think, to me, it resembles something pretty specific. I don't want to say the names of certain rappers who have left the world but I don't like what Mega-Victrebell looks like to me and above all I don't think there's any circumstance where a poke'mon choking itself is acceptable even a little bit. It isn't hardcore, it isn't cool, it's dark and weird.
