NTA, but its worth mentioning that nobody normal reads the fucking Pokedex entries. You just collect the mons you like, run the entire game with those and it ends after you reach whatever the Elite Four in that particular game is.

All the sidequest junk, legendary collecting, pokedex finishing, and especially PvP, that's just nerds that are way too far gone. I haven't felt compelled to do a Pokedex completion since RBY and frankly, the games haven't been good enough in the interim to consider it again, even assuming it wasn't a gigantic waste of time to begin with.
