Meowth had to give up Pay Day to get the ability to talk

Meowth says in the anime that he can't Pay Day because he "used up all his smarts" learning how to speak. But considering that we never see any other Meowth or other Pokemon use Pay Day either, and the only time it IS used is by a fictional Meowth in a movie, the move probably doesn't really exist in the anime universe.

We have the anime covered, but if you want the game covered, it's a horribly inefficient way of generating profit because you need Level 100 Pay Day users en masse in order to get 500 PokeYen per use of the move, and Level 100 would take a little something called effort since NPCs don't have access to raid bosses who drop EXP candies out the ass.

No other Meowth uses Pay Day either though. Closest we get is Meowth using G-Max Gold Rush while Gigantamaxed, but that doesn't generate real coins, they're just coin-shaped projectiles.
