What's up with all the gen 5 remake baiting by the official social media accounts?
Anonymous No.58213247
it's an illusion, why they should remake a game nobody played, when said game is already great

Blueberry Fagademy was the remake, you'd have to be retard to think they'd make another one.

I want gen 5 remakes to happen just because the discourse surrounding it is going to be fucking hilarious.

They can't bitch about there being no BF, because gen 5 already didn't have a BF.
They can't bitch about side content like contests and secret bases being ruined, because gen 5 already didn't have contests and secret bases.
They can't bitch about the game being more linear or casualized, because gen 5 was already piss easy as fuck.

The whole thing is just going to be gen 5 fans strawgrasping for reasons to call the game shit even though it has no reason to not be exactly the same as the originals which were already barebones as fuck.

>B/W is a simple children's story with the core message that both truth and ideals are essential, interdependent forces for progress, and that an imbalance leads to tyranny or naivety. This is symbolized by the twin dragons, Reshiram (Truth) and Zekrom (Ideals), who split from one original being. The antagonist N embodies Ideals taken to an extreme; he dreams of a perfect world for Pokémon but his vision is authoritarian and based on the false "truth" that all human-Pokémon bonds are oppressive. Conversely, the villain Ghetsis represents a corrupted Truth; he cynically exploits ideals and manipulates human nature for pure power, devoid of any positive ideal. The player character synthesizes both concepts, pursuing the ideal of becoming Champion through the truthful bonds forged with their Pokémon. By awakening the dragon opposite to N's, the player demonstrates that challenging a rigid ideal requires truth, and vice versa. Victory proves that a perspective integrating both is strongest. N's subsequent redemption shows he doesn't abandon his ideals but reforms them with a newfound understanding of the truth, arguing that a better world requires the dream of what could be (ideals) to be constantly informed and tested by a clear-eyed understanding of what is (truth).
Jesus what a clusterfuck of a game

you joke, but I unironically expect a gen 5 remake not to have entralink, and will make berries findable only through held items from rare wild pokémon
not to mention they definitely aren’t touching b2w2 outside of forms

They'll cut content from the main game, like the previous two remakes did. The only time that would be remotely fine would be streamlining Black City/White Forest because the original version was a war crime. But they'll probably end up cutting the Abyssal Ruins, Anville Town, Royal Unova, Battle Institute, possibly even the entire Battle Subway even though the twins are still the most popular Gen 5 characters probably, all the stuff that isn't mandatory or a huge part of the map (and all of Eastern Unova is still on the chopping block). There's also shit like forced EXP All and Affection that will absolutely tank the already middling difficulty (even Yawnfag has to use multiple Pokemon and stop using his starter after the second or third gym), plus probably making some sort of replacement for the Dream World that's just a sloppy collection of the 480-ish other Pokemon not found in the main story and none of them will be better than Excadrill. And of course they'll probably include no content from B2W2, if this were remade during the DS era they'd probably throw in the towns and routes from the early game and nothing else which would be worth complaining about at the time but would definitely be an upgrade from whatever is actually coming out. This is on top of it probably using the godawful BDSP art style instead of something that's a thematic upgrade like the Dragon Quest-style HD2D (as opposed to the Octopath/Triangle/Live A Live style that looks like complete ass). As far as upgrades, they'll probably make the Zorua and Zoroark events available normally, which is a good thing because the original version was a little retarded. I doubt they'd tone down the tutorial and would probably genuinely make it worse somehow, which would be impressive honestly. There's no realistic way it will turn out better than BW, let alone good.

the previous two remakes didn't cut any battle facilities that weren't the battle frontier

except BDSP is objectively harder than DPPt even with those things, and BW was already EASIER than DPPt

technically an improvement since the Dream World isn't even playable in the original games lmao

>And of course they'll probably include no content from B2W2
Why would a remake of a game include content for the sequel of the game that CONTRADICTS the events of the first game?

>This is on top of it probably using the godawful BDSP art style instead of something that's a thematic upgrade like the Dragon Quest-style HD2D

New Mauville is reduced to a single room, that's functionally cut. Sky Pillar is just a cutscene now. At least Sea Maville is something to replace the Abandoned Ship.
BDSP also didn't launch with several optional areas which sucks dick but at least the day 1 patch added it and I assume later runs have it included. Also it took them like half a year to implement Wonder Trades what the fuck is wrong with them.
>>58213832
>the previous two remakes didn't cut any routes or towns
I just don't like the slippery slope they're going down and those are all easy cuts for anyone who doesn't give a shit.
>the previous two remakes didn't cut any battle facilities that weren't the battle frontier
The previous two remakes didn't have anything in the game that wasn't a Battle Tower
>except BDSP is objectively harder than DPPt even with those things, and BW was already EASIER than DPPt
Absolutely not the case, hell DP's only hard part was a difficulty spike at the ass end of the game which BW also functionally has
>technically an improvement since the Dream World isn't even playable in the original games lmao
Content wise maybe, balance wise absolutely fucking not holy shit. Maybe if it were post-game yeah that would be an upgrade, the time gating makes a lot less sense at that point in your progression.
>Why would a remake of a game include content for the sequel of the game that CONTRADICTS the events of the first game?
What's contradicting about certain areas existing at all? I even listed a few they could add with zero issue. Hell, if you wanted to do something fucky you could have the PWT start being developed or theorized in new post-game content that lets you rematch gym leaders, kinda like the Gen 3/4 cameos in HGSS.
>The HD2D style looks like fucking dogshit though
No, the DQ ones look reasonable and are the natural evolution of styles like Xenogears or the DS Pokemon games. If your only exposure to it is Octopath Traveler or the Live A Live remake I get you.

>New Mauville is reduced to a single room, that's functionally cut. Sky Pillar is just a cutscene now
So they didn't actually cut either area and you're grasping at straws to desperately make Unova look good. Good to know.
>BDSP also didn't launch with several optional areas which sucks dick but at least the day 1 patch added it and I assume later runs have it included
Better than not even including content in the game just to dump it into a flash game that dies after 3 years KEK
>I just don't like the slippery slope they're going down
there is no slippery slope
>The previous two remakes didn't have anything in the game that wasn't a Battle Tower
neither did gen 5
>Absolutely not the case,
Absolutely the case, you being terrible at exp management as a 5 year old doesn't mean DPPt was harder.
>balance wise absolutely fucking not
Gen 5 already had no balance.
>What's contradicting about this area that exists in the sequel that only exists because it REPLACED an area in the previous game?
>No, the DQ ones look reasonable
