So the human brain is a tricky subject, but I'll explain it in the retard way that I can (and am). The brain is a conduit, or receiver of the sixth sense. Hallucinations by nature, is literal mindfuckery, but at the same time, the shit you see is produced by the brain, whether you choose to believe the source is all in your head or somewhere else.
So the specific combination that happened to work for me was during a state where I was still very rational. And everything that happened was way too specific to dismiss; during my late 30s, with zero psyche ward history. It can scientifically be debunked, but if you intend to take the God concept seriously, you need a broad suspension of disbelief period.

I lucked out by choosing to change up my mindset about life on a whim. The specifics are too long to explain, but I was agnostic all my life until a couple years ago. It wasn't just one event either. Long story short, I received enough consecutive signs enough to where I decide to start believing.
