I recently replayed LeafGreen on my original DS and beat the game with a shiny electrode on my team. I really like gen 3’s sprites so having a shiny in a gen 3 game is really cool to me.

Did a Platinum mono-run last week.
Did a White and White 2 playthrough this week but I don't have any pics. The teams were:
White: Stoutland, Unfezant, Scrafty, Druddigon, Golurk and Zekrom
White 2: Lucario, Thundurus-T, Clefable, Octillery and Maractus.
I'm actively trying to use Mon I haven't used previously since I hyperfixate on Pokemon like crazy and usually play through each game like twice a year. Goddamn tism.

Should I run through SV and post the team that wins against Geeta/Nemona (who is the real champ for that game, anyways?)

I don't have a picture of in-game but this was my Alpha Sapphire team. As soon as I got Wonder Trade unlocked I traded until I got 6 Zigzagoon with Pick Up.
Each of them had Echoed Voice and a HM; by the end of the playthrough they were hilariously overleveled.

Haven't beaten the game yet (4 badges) but these here are my boys. Maybe looking at Phanpy or Rhyhorn to fill the sixth slot. Gonna swap a few team members out in Kanto once I get there, as I usually do in G/S. Chinchou has been wreaking havoc in Johto if you couldn't tell by its moveset.

how are you liking thunder (and blizzard) in a normal play through? i usually get frustrated with imperfect accuracy, but when i played shining pearl i ran thunder on my gift jirachi to abuse serene grace and it honestly pulled through often, felt more like 85% accuracy

Thunder is satisfying as hell, if not just for the power but also how it looks. It kept missing and caused me to lose to some Ace Trainers earlier but it's just the price you pay. As for Blizzard, I might end up subbing it for Ice Beam later. The move animation just isn't as fun to watch as gen 3's, and running both that and Thunder is a bit overkill kek.

bumping with what I thought would be a fun stomp through XD: Gale of Darkness with solo surskit, and then evolved into surskit + masquerain, but any trainer with a Raichu (I've run into 1 in Mt. Battle and one Cipher admin) has fucked me up beyond recognition

in my defense, i'm running 2 first stages and a middle stage, while being roughly on-level (fully evolved at 53, middle at 57, first stages at 61). nothing really deals with chauntal's chandelure, which just beet me again. at least i beat caitlin and grimsley

Nice, I needed this thread as motivation to finish SoulSilver. I caught a shiny Teddiursa but had no motivation to grind for Clair and the e4 until I saw this thread. r8 and h8 the team, I tried to only use Johto mons. How we looking into Kanto?

Eh, it was okay. It's just Emerald with around 1 or 2 dozen fakemon scattered around. There was some extra challenge, but the only times you feel like the game is harder than normal is the 1st, 2nd, and 7th gyms and Rival fight 2. There are fairy type pokemon, but no fairy type moves?

Overall, it's not bad, but it does feel rushed.
