I really like that Drago is a litmus test for jungle clears, even with the nerf it's still the most valuable head start.

But through the entirety of all Rayfights, as much as I've shit my pants over backcapping fucktards which either lose us the game or are inconsequential due to a backcapping fucktard on their team I hate to say it but until they inevitably fuck up Groudon it's actually not the worst option moreso than what Ray became. Epecially with bot goals having more to dunk it can be setup for pincering them to force something even after Groudon goes down.

In this season more than ever, it feels like the enemy is always a well-oiled machine from 8:00 onwards, while our team starts on the backfoot and never gains any momentum.
Can't kill enemies, can't kill objectives, can't even sneak any points in.
Enemy's always together, we're deathly afraid of teamwork.
Shit actually feels unwinnable.

It's less so a problem with the map and more so the playerbase, this is what people have always done they're just being rewarded for it a bit more now. This happened with launch Theia for the first few days as well before people caught on, but instead of continuing to adapt shitters just whined Rayquaza was too weak and the map got ruined.
Just give it some time to settle and people to catch up, this is way healthier for the game.

There's always an objective up or enemies shitting on your side of the map, there's no time.

HOT FUCKING DAMN!!! The megas look like complete fucking ass. If anyone haven't seen the leaks, the megas are literally the same characters, except way more limited. Unlike Mewtwo where both forms are very different when comparing their basic attacks and moves, the megas just have the same basic attacks and you can't even pick what move you want.

You are forced to use one set and stay with that set for the rest of the game. Lucario is Power-up punch and Close Combat and Charizard is Flare Blitz and Fire Punch. To even mega evolve, you have to use your Unite Move just for a few seconds-minutes. That mean you are rarely going to see these forms because you would have to spam your unite move just to transform and no one is going to do. I see people saying that it's in beta so it could change and I'm hoping that is true because they are forcing people to spent money for the same pokemon but limited and weaker.

What speedster should I learn to play? I've got at least a couple mons from every other role that I can play reasonably well, but speedsters have eluded me.

Except you're forgetting that we have a very different map with different objectives and mobs, and more focus on scoring as Groudon doesn't auto win the game, mons like Dragonite and Greedent are fantastic at scoring and Absol is very good at getting around and farming.

Look, a whole class of characters are good at moving around the map, farming and scoring but you don't see them climbing up.Dodrio dropped by 1%, Galarian Rapidash by 2. Meowscarada and Talonflame are excellent at this type of play, however they are stuck where they were.
Then you have Pokemon who in no way benefit from the changes like Alolan Ninetales. Bam, it gained 1,5%. Or how is Tyranitar gaining win ratio considering early game just got more important due to Regidrago? This thing can't contribute much at 8:00.

I firmly believe win ratios are a mix of luck (less so now that Rayquaza is gone), actual Pokemon's worth and the whim of a good player deciding what to pick that week. People often joke around whenever Greedent gets top spot that it was carried by like two players.

I just wanted to clarify that I don't consider win rates completely worthless but rather I do not pay any attention to Pokemon in the middle of the list. I am merely checking both ends of said list to see if there are any big outliers (like Mewtwo at the bottom now or Latios at the top before the nerf).

I think the Mewtwos are still very good in a proper comp but if you're soloQ esp without a support they aren't able to do anything

Most of my favourites are not in the game. Celebi, Entei, Lurantis, Arcanine, Stoutland, Dialga, Tornadus, Golem, Rhydon, Meganium, Zygarde, Flygon...
On the other hand, there are a lot of Pokemon I really like in the game. Trevenant and Talonflame are amazing. Lucario, Zacian and Tyranitar are good but I rarely play them. Haven't tried Scyther yet.

You got the gist of it. Use energy for emblems until you can make proper builds. For example, physical attackers like having 6 white emblems and 6 brown ones. Special attackers like having 6 greens and 7 blacks (although I'm using 6 greens and 6 whites). White, blue and purple ones are good for tanks. After gathering emblems, you can go for fashion items because they sometimes drop coins, tickets and enhancers.
Also, don't bother leveling held items above level 20. It's expensive and provide very little buff.

I don't remember if "First to 500" is the quickest way to level up but casuals are the best in general. I suggest going for ranked anyway because playing against bots will get tiresome.

Mr Mime is just fucking terrible right now, he's just a fucking ultbot. Why did the stupid devs design him the way he is?

Winrates on Unite API obviously aren't the end all be all but when everything related to the set is below 49% winrate, that is typically a symptom of an issue. That's Dragon Pulse (Goodra) shit right there. I also personally feel that Confusion + Swap is stronger, especially with two damage up held items, and Psychic + Barrier is amazing if you can line up your barriers correctly.

It hits like a mortar from the backlane. Flamethrower reaches obscene damage if you manage to aim with it while Overheat is weaker but safer and easier to use. The big problem with Chandelure is that it can't survive encounter with anything that dashes to it. Delphox has excellent stun (Fire Spin) and useful dash (Mystical Fire). Gardevoir has a stun (Moonblast). Chandelure has a weak stun (Imprison) and very good slow (Poltergeist), however they rarely help against someone who jumped on you. Its ultimate is honestly pretty garbage too - damage doesn't matter when its hitbox is so short and thin.

I couldn't get it to work consistently. I really liked playing this one but constant multiple loses with it and Zacian made me rage uninstall the game and stop playing ranked for a few days.

I personally use Wise Glasses, Slick Spoon and Drive Lens to maximize damage. Hurricane with Surf is the best in my opinion and hurts a lot if you hit with both of them. It's sometimes good to wait before using your combo until someone jumps on your team mate. Abuse Whirlpool in early game, it's one of the best skills to farm and steal enemy's mobs.
