Whoever decided that the "do 100 battles in the GBL" timed research tasks require you to actually finish the battle deserves to be shot, holy shit. As if this piece of shit game wasn't bad enough, now they're motivating people to stretch out battles they know they'll lose because I guess someone feels some satisfaction knowing that you need to wait for some douchebag to finish 3 Breaking Swipes or whatever.

They couldn't think of how to implement them. The tap-tap-tap combat is already centered around having a big attack that deals lotta damage (charged attack), so they probably didn't know how Z-Moves would be any different or how to balance them when they bypassed defensive moves (in mainline games) and they'd be pretty much a 1 hit KO move in PoGo. Not to mention the fact that you need Z-Crystals to make a Z-Move work so they'd need to think about that too.
It's been way too many years since Alola launched in PoGo and at this point the idea to implement Z-Moves is probably shelved for good.

It's the original version so it only uses regular pokeballs which is really annoying though.

I have the Go Plus as well, it's really neat during very crowded CDs or Go Fests. The thing I did is I modded it so that it "auto catches" mons, works much better that way.

Something like picrel. I opened my Go Plus, soldered some stuff (I removed the vibration motor) and now every time the light flashes (which would mean there's a mon/stop nearby) it activates the catch function. Works really well and it's not hard at all, I watched a couple of YouTube vids and did it myself. Only thing is you need a special screwdriver to open the Go Plus.

Does it just try or does it catch? If it just tries (as in it vibrates like hell while flashing lights) then that's normal. If it also catches the Mon then you might have bought a modded Go Plus.

Yeah that's what I meant. I went out biking with it so obviously didn't press the button at all, then when I checked the game after it'd caught a bunch of new mons. Then I checked it at home and it also caught stuff automatically around me without me pressing the catch button.
Weird that it'd be modded but I'm not complaining at all, it's a lot better this way.

You get a free pass every day and can carry one from one day to the next. If you only care about dex that's enough to catch every weekly pokemon. You'll also get a bunch of paid passes for free just from playing, enough to do one or two big events eventually. If you are autistic about your gym coins you can get 350 coins a week. In about 4 months that will be enough to buy the 99 raid pass deal that is on the shop every now and then, assuming you don't buy anything else. Those are enough to do every major raid event for a couple of years.

Or just fucking pay, it's probably cheaper in the long run than wasting your time fighting gyms and dealing with autists and cheaters

Gotta love how the "Spin X Pokestops" party quest doesn't account for the number of pokestops around you. I can spend 10 minutes catching Pokemon or I can spend 2 hours traveling the entire town three times

I'll mention some things no other anon said (it's also 100% ftp):
>1) Get an alt (either by using another phone or if you have an android, use a dual app)
>2) Play a bit with that alt until it can raid and raid with both your alt and main (that will provide a lil more DPS)
- Your alr will be very weak, but you don't have to really play with that account, just use it to help you raid
- Using party power, your main will deal a lot of damage
- Bonus: You can trade with it and take gyms down faster
>3) Use leekduck/Genie/Discord/whatever other raid hosting app that allows you to invite other players to join you remotely
- Having a second account is very good for this because it makes you stand out, and having 2 players is more enticing to remote paypiggies.

That's pretty much it anon. Sometimes it takes quite some time to fill a lobby, some other times it's instantaneous, but by doing this you'll get much needed assistance and your chances of doing raids improve by a ton.

In case you didn't know, players are able to submit irl "POIs" which can then (if accepted) appear in-game as stops/gyms (and if one's too close to an existing stop/gym, then powerspot). This used to require players to be lvl 37 and up, but now it's 35 and up, so you qualify.
Many other anons ask about their submissions and stuff like that here, so be sure to ask for more info if you are unsure of something.
