i think hypno is a cool pokemon and i like some of the interpretations where he's utilized as an aid for psychological issues/therapy but 99% of the time he's just le epic hypnorape pokemon

Malamar has managed to avoid the same fate as Hypno so far and it already is all about hypnosis even before mega evolving. The odds are looking good and I think everyone will be instead joking that it looks like Megamind or Gallaxhar.
