Havent tried it yet but I heard gameplay wise its more or less the same as Cyber Sluts, and that it was grindy as hell. Shame if it is, I'd like to get back into Digimon but I hated the loop of grind till level cap then devolve then grind again.

Grind goes into the opposite direction with the entire bank/farm getting 75% exp from each battle and then you can then feed those to your digimon to inherit cumulative stats. Stat limit is absurdly high and way too easy to break the game if you go out of your way to exploit it. On the upside, the digimon level cap increases as you use them in battle, so no need to evolve back and forth this time around

I still dont get why they like letting the player have absurdly high stats that break the balance of the game anyways. I get it appeals to some people with number go up autism so they can make their maxed out waifumon deal 9999 damage on every attack but I feel like it would be a more interesting game if there were hard stat caps and actual difficulty that didn't require you to be purposely be underleveled or straight up inflate enemy stats.
Not trying to say Pokemon is any better, I just feel that there's no real effort to have a proper difficulty curve in the big 2 monster collecting games, and they just expect the fans will eat it up anyways because of the brand, which they always do.

the dex is less important in digimon games since our new digimon are release just whenever they feel like it instead of all at once in a new title. You'll usually only see a few new ones with the rest being already well established digimon.
