There's a popular legend in Japan about an island of fairy folk that turn out to be ants. Western fairies almost always have butterfly or dragonfly style wings. Sorry but the logic just isn't there. If anything they should be weak to Fire.

Because bugs often thrive and are more active during night than day, so in a sense they are used to it.
Plus, Bug already is super-effective on Dark, so giving it a resistance would also be logical.

NTA but true, Dark type stands for evil and deception, not literal darkness. But then, why is Dark weak to Fairy? It can't be because Fairy is the "righteous" type, that's already Fighting's theme and fairies aren't necessarily righteous in the first place.

Alright wise guy, answer me this: Why is Dark-type WEAK to Bug, then? If you go on the "Evil" aspect, it doesn't make sense because bugs aren't "righteous" or "heroic" like Fighting-type?
