I LOVE pollution Pokemon. They are my favorites. All of them. I love Weezing, I love Muk, I love Garbodor, and I love Revavroom. The best thing 9th gen did was finally add another pollutionmon.

It's not their fault they eat poison. And produce poison. I feel like there are weird Pokemon environmentalist ethics situations in which you people protesting against cleaning up heavily polluted sites because it would destroy the local Grimer population.

Revavroom has one of my favorite Pokemon concepts in a while which is that it burns its own poison as fuel. Poison in the Pokemon universe, ironically, could be harvested as 'clean' renewable energy.

Too many to pick favorites, but this bug is very cool. Bulbasaur and Nidoran are long-time favorites. Poison is definitly up there for me, I like "debuff" style play in turn based games, and Koga's ideology of using status ailments is how I like to play.
I have done all-poison runs, its very easy in gen 1 games. Right now I'm using gengar in blue version with a glitch to have him before you fight Misty. I definitly prefer bugs and plants over pollution, would lije to see even more Lizards and Snakes

As someone who likes Arbok I feel ya, the Snake didn't learn a single good physical Poison move naturally up until gen 4, and it only got it at level 58 , the only other good options Arbok had were locked behind breeding with a Pokemon that wasn't even available in Johto in Seviper, and past gen 5 they moved Gunk Shot even later to level 63. Even now in gen 9, Arbok STILL only learns Gunk Shot at level 63 and it's movepool doesn't have a single good physical Poison move besides.

I like its pouty lips and the animation where it opens its mouth all the way is genuinely shocking if you've never seen a Swalot before.

I think I like Garbodor more, but generally I find Swalot easier to use too. Like to run it with yawn and ice beam during a playthrough.

Actually, a regional form would be fun too since Muk and Weezing got them. Maybe a form of Trubbish/Garbodor that exists only on coasts and islands so they're just made of ocean trash like discarded fishing nets and junk dumped into the ocean.

Yeah Arbok not getting Poison Fang at the very least is supremely retarded, you'd think the Pokemon based on one of the most permanently pissed off snakes would bite it's opponents, but nope. Also kind of niche, but it's bizarre to me Arbok doesn't learn Roar or Snarl at the very least considering the terrifying sounds king cobras are known to produce.

regional variants are the only real way to fix older mons with horribly ineffective stat distributions. i know very little about gamefreak's history of inter-genetation stat balancing (outside of giving the pokemon a new form), but i think it's rarely (if ever) buffs rather than nerfs for the recent games.

i propose giving seviper a regional variant in gen 10 based on vipera ammodytes, or the nose-horned viper. it's a venomous species of snake native to some of the cyclades islands, where rumored to be where gen 10 is set.

i'm not sure what secondary typing would fit best, but it'd be made into a physical attacker. maybe its "horn" could justify making it the first poison/steel type after revavroom?

wikipedia says
>It is reputed to be the most dangerous of the European vipers due to its large size, long fangs (up to 13 mm) and high venom toxicity.
so its design could instead lean into giving it gigantic fangs, and making it larger and longer.

I think an interesting idea that could be done as well is a sea snake Seviper, sea snakes have a paddle like tail that sorta looks like Seviper's blade if squint, plus Water/Poison is a relatively rare type too and Water and Poison combo together really well.
Sea snakes also have the whole silent killer thing going for them due to their poison being not only extremely dangerous, but their bites are almost painless.

>What's your favorite Poison-type?
Fuck. I equally favor Seviper, Crobat, and Beedrill
>Is Poison your favorite type?
In theory absolutely but in practice I find it difficult.
>Ever do a mono-poison run?
No but I’m about ti.
>Who's your favorite Poison-type specialist?
Not sure.
>Do you prefer natural poison types like plants and bugs? Or do you prefer pollution based ones?
They both are perfectly flushed concepts.
