What is the best pre GBA mon and why?
No eevee variants no pre evolved Pokémon… Gen 1 and 2 only.

I love Vaporeon as much as the next guy however the entire board is overran with eevees. Other Pokémon need love 2. I like gyarados because he is more legendary feeling than actual legends and is kinda scary imo.

Meganium is my favorite Pokemon just in general

It's a tie between Arcanine and Ninetales, for different reasons.
Ninetales is kind of superficial. I love feeling soft things and Ninetales seems like the perfect candidates for being a LOT of soft fur in one place. Their tails also probably make really nice blankets even if they aren't that soft.
Arcanine is known as a "fiercely loyal" Pokemon according to one anime-specific Pokedex entry. I like to think I share that aspect. Also Arcanine is fucking fast, has a lot of stamina, and is big enough to ride, which is great. Who wouldn't want to ride something that can go 260 miles an hour? Someone who isn't in a roll cage.

I love Slugma and Magcargo.
However, I don't like the Gen 2 sprites for them. Slugma just looks off and Magcargo is pink for some reason. (Crystal fixed the latter though)

I've been a huge fan of Rhydon lately after I recently used it in Blue.

Houndoom is my all time favorite regardless of generation, my favorite Gen I is Clefable which is also in my Top 10 usually

Venusaur
I love plant monsters or just things with plants growing off from them. Like zombies with fungi you know.
Venusaur is this big huge-mouthed toad monster with cat ears with a massive palm tree with a rafflesia on top growing from its back. it's so strange and creepy but also kind of cute in a way (probably because of the cat ears). I think it's the perfect pokémon
