If I recall several years ago there was a leak that there was a system being made so pokemon were truly special and similar to NFTs were they couldn't be altered and saved at generation. Mostly because of GF autism about disliking how certain people play the game. Apparently soft resetting for shiny encounters is something they dislike a lot, almost as much s nuzlockes and single player challenges were you edit you first pokemon for another.

The footage people saw was of the ingame box and stat editor. There was not a single UI element in the footage that could have even implied the possibility of IVs. People also did the math on the Gardevour's stats and found that the stats it had were equal to what they should be for perfect IVs. With the change from EVs to just generalized stat points should all be more than enough circumstancal evidence that the EV and IV system as it was once known is seemingly gone.

I can understand the point you're trying to make, but to steelman the argument, while Legends does have the implementation on some abilities, those abilities in question are crucial to the design of those pokemon. Aegislash wouldn't be Aegislash if it could not switch between an Aegis and a Sword, its gimmick is literally baked into the name. Sure, we can wait until champs is out, but I think the signal is pretty clear here and I would honestly shocked if IVs remain, I cannot even comprehend how that could work when its also an f2p game where there will be players reliant on the pokemon they are renting and buying with VP exclusively to make their teams.
