Schizo theory time: If you look closely, the green parts of Mega Zyggy's look flame-like, as if they were made of energy. I think that it's actually using most of the cells to form the cannon and the main body is either made with some of the energy gained from Mega Evo, or still made of cells, but a considerably reduced quantity compared to Zygarde complete and that's why the body is less "stable" and solid.

Not exactly. The pokeball are comfortable spaces and trigger a pokemon's instinct to shrink and stay there, you force this instinct to activate with the balls and that's how the get caught, with the Master Ball being the one that always convinces the pokemon to stay there.
They can refuse to join you later, but the initial catch is usually something you force upon a pokemon, not a test.

I think Xerness will win because Mega Zygarde can only be activated once it hits half health and goes into 100%. Judging by how speed works after Gen 7 ignored speed buffs in the first turn, I think Xerneas will just come out on top.

Man, I would REALLY love it if they added the cores (of each color) as baby Pokemon. I know they technically aren't babies, but this isn't the first time that pre-evos that aren't actually pre-evos has been done (one that I can think of off the top of my head is Type: Null).
I don't care if it has terrible stats and an almost non-extant move pool. It's cute and fun!

You guys are retards, losing HP to go bonkers is a basic mechanic in many games that involve fighting, not only rpgs, and Archeops and Wishiwashi are, by virtue of working the other way around, TERRIBLE to use because instead of having to endure a little to go even further beyond your strong version is the base and the moment you are a little hurt you are automatically useless.
