just like cool and badass designs, funny ones can be good or not depending on whether they are well executed or not. Mega Starmie is well executed, Mega Victreebel is a lame halfass joke that begins and ends at "haha he looks bad"

And given Japan roundly ignored gatr, leading to the anime et al to NOT feature it in the marketing/advertising in prominent positions and subsequently the west to get the exact flavour of marketing Japan did, we got a LOT of western inferiors, who are upset they only THEY can see how badass and sexy gatr was. The mega brought them all out the woodwork as they seethe the game made chiefly for Japanese people plays up and adds details that please ONLY Japan.
Mega Starmie looks like someone went into blender, stretched the leg points out and then did nothing else.
The model doesn't even look like it's rigged properly, it deforms weird when its legs are moving.
I'd have no problem with the concept if the intern they forced to design this at least spend more than an hour on this.
