I haven't been able to finish Z-A before offiicial release, but I'm more surprised by the leak info we did get. Explains some things about how the franchise is going, but I hope it lights some fire under the head honcho's asses for it being public knowledge now.

The leak concepts show the first time they made G-Max balls, so it has to be on Eternatus' arrival. I assume they will also work in Calyrex being the Galar King of sorts, so hopefully we can get a better redesign for him as I really do like his character but...yeesh the design they gave him is hard to defend.

I missed that detail about the leak for Legends Galar. That's fascinating, I would hope for something interesting that way. And make that a second on Calyrex. I have my doubts though, there is just no salvaging anything about him.

I just want a remake of the original map in 3D, with all the original pokemon, and the original moves, and the original gyms, and the original puzzles, and the original quest, and the original characters. i want Professor Oak to offer me a starter choice between Squirtle, Charmander, and Bulbasaur. I want Gary to be my Rival. I want the Safari zone to be difficult. I want to be able to make my way through caves without Flash, but barely. I want to relive my childhood, but in 3D.

It's not so much to ask and it would be a huge commercial success.

a couple of tweaks like optional hp share, breeding center (where you leave the pokemon at the guys house, not the retarded picnic mechanic), and the ability to relearn older moves would make it perfect.

its such low hanging fruit. most people playing today are 30 year old boomers. the nostalgia factor combined with introducing our own kids to the franchise through the same storyline is a brilliant idea. i have no fucking clue about the modern dex and have no desire to learn about 900 clown tier pokemon.

After dealing with the ugly school clothes for all of SV, it is nice to not have to use eyesore wear all the time. Animations are a... mixed bag. You cannot interact with your following pokemon at all for some reason, but you have 3 different photo modes to take screenshots of them. One while walking around the city, one while sitting at benches, and another while sitting at a restaurant ordering coffee/tea/etc.

The "this will be the longest lasting issue" is that the city is just not a good location where so much looks the same and it's a bit annoying when you *want* to find a way up to the rooftops of certain buildings, whether for items or missions. There isn't that many buildings in general to enter that aren't stores, and I'd say it really isn't that big anyway. Some wild zones are really small too, like one kid's playground size or a block wide with the larger ones taking up mostly by buildings if they aren't park space.

Gonna be real with you, haven't played any Pokemon games since I went through Conquest a year ago. Never could get into romhacks or trying to do challenge playthroughs for some reason, even though I've wanted to.
Otherwise I've been playing a lot of backlogged titles on console, and starting to attack my handheld backlog again. Boktai, Mega Man Xtreme, Shantae Advance, and a lot more. Probably White 2 eventually, never did play that one originally. Though the itch to go back to PLA is strong at this time or give in to my desires and play Time Stranger instead

If anything the MZ team makes me wish I had Tierno, Trevor and Shauna back, at least half their group wasn't so annoying and didn't force you to do every single bit of the plot with them. Being in a city pretty much means being yanked to the next place over and over even though it "should" be just battling at night to progress with rank matches after you earn a ticket to do so.

They did the Iono streamer idea again but more annoying. There's not too many returning characters but Emma, AZ, and Lysandre, who is still alive have been the most endearing. I liked the Rust Syndicate, Fist of Justice is okay in small doses.
