Nigger I have been postponing this shit because I was scared of online since I play veeeeery slowly (literally just beat Vinnie today) but I wanted to try because everyone said it took like 1 hour tops to get into K and get the Greninjite and all I did was grab the shiny Gyarados I'm using for the campaign, an alpha Manectric I've NEVER used before and the rogue Mega Absol also from the story, and I got to rank J in 40 minutes, even faster than what I read.
There's absolutely no excuse, even a disabled child could get a Mega Greninja. The requirements aren't being good in Z-A competitive, but just playing online a little.

I thought I'd feel the same way about the online but I actually had a good time with it. Took me about an hour to get to K Rank and I don't think my team was THAT tryhard. Dragonite, Gardevoir, Aerodactyl. Invest in moves that are good for kill-stealing like Dragon Rush and Extreme Speed.

Locking content behind the online is still dogshit, though.

I've been doing fine with a rinky-dink team with Sylveon, Chandelure and Lucario. The game is generous with points.
