Later, her Aurorus nuzzled her side, its massive blue head tilting with concern. The Ice-type’s eyes sparkled with kindness, the only light in the dimly lit room where she had retreated after the battle. But today, nothing could pierce the fog of anger and self-loathing clouding her mind.

Aurorus stepped forward, nudging her gently, but it was too late. Her rage exploded like a volcano. "I don’t need your sympathy!" she screamed, hurling the bottle with all her might. It smashed into Aurorus’ face, shattering against its ice-crystal features. The Pokémon recoiled in shock, and for a moment, silence hung in the air.

Then, something shifted.

A dark, primal energy surged through Aurorus. In an instant, it Mega Evolved, its icy form growing larger, its eyes glowing with fury. The air chilled to subzero temperatures as it released a wave of pure hatred, freezing Diantha in an unbreakable block of ice.

The door creaked open, and Lusamine glided into the room, her eyes glinting with cold satisfaction. She surveyed the scene, her gaze lingering on the frozen Champion.

“Thank you, Mega Aurorus,” she said, her voice laced with sweet venom. “Now, let's add her to my collection.”

Diantha's fate was sealed.
