I got to K rank in six matches using my in-game team which was nothing special outside of using a couple of bottle caps and Adamant/Modest mints on each of them. Viable Pokemon with good movesets and smart timing and positioning are all that matter.

Not hard at all. The syndicate hq place can reset a mons EVs. You can get money pretty quickly doing the battle zones each night to buy all the vitamins you need for a mon. Mints are pretty cheap too. Only thing that's a pain is bottle caps and you can get those each season climbing ranked.
