I reckon this world is an example of the pokeworld going in the wrong direction. It also mirrors in my opinion people who repeatedly build in natural disaster areas over and over again.
I reckon similar to us there’s so many people now people are often forced into these decisions.
In a perfect world that city would have been left to the Pokemon with people building elsewhere, but there was already existing infrastructure there.
In og Pokemon games we saw towns that resembled places like the equivalent of a 90’s developed New England town. Obviously with a Japanese flare. I see the same thing if us struggling to coexist with wild life as well.
I own acres by both a highway, and power lines (illegal to hunt by those here) I’ve watched the animals slowly go away as this town builds up. Ive also seen various animals hunted for being a nusance when in the past we tracked various animals with excitement at a local bar.
I feel like a compromise is only possible in a non real perfect world.
