As a low skill but passionate artfag it baffles me how this got approved, if you make a mistake with your art, be it drawing or modeling, you start from scratch and keep your mistakes around as references to remember what you did wrong and how to improve upon them, you don't flaunt your mistakes as a finalized product. Which makes me wonder, how did this get approved? How did anyone look at this dogshit design and think for even a second that it was a good idea? It barely changed Feraligatr's base design and just adds shit on top that makes it look bad, the retarded toilet lid tumor and stretchy arms are so painfully retarded. Did they make this abomination out of spite for Feraligatr? I remember being pretty excited to see what their Megas would look like, sad that Typhlosion didn't make the cut but it did get a Reigonal form not that long ago.
I'm so glad Typhlosion did not get a Mega after seeing these travesties, Mega Feraligatr is just a transformer toy with kibble on it, Meganium they just didn't even bother adding anything new onto it making it so bland, I GURANTEE Mega Typhlosion would have the head of cyndquil, and the fire around it's neck to form a construct of Cyndaquil's body around it.
I love the whole Gen 2 Starter trio and it feels like every chance they get any sort of news around them it's just a joke.

The treatment of starter pokemon pokemon is a direct reflection of how Game freak feels about the region. Game Freak has always respected johto the least out of all the regions because they just see it as an extension of Kanto. also because Game Freak worships Kanto and coddles Hoenn, Johto ends up the abused middle child, this is especially true with the starters. No amount of objective organic popularity gen 2 starters have matters, Game Freak will an always prioritize the KANTOOOOOOOOOOO and Hoenn starters.
Game Freak is also bitter about Gen2’s development. People rightfully call game freak retards now but truth is they’ve never had any idea what they were doing, it just wasn’t as noticeable because the videogame industry hasn’t evolved much and the technology was primitive. Pokemania was too much for Game Freak to handle and Tajiri fucked off and abandoned them half way through GS’s development. They were running around like headless chickens just randomly throwing shit at the wall until Masuda stepped up and tard wrangled them to actually do accomplish something but they were still such bumbling faggots that Iwata had to come down and carry their asses. Note he isn’t responsible for Kanto being a bonus in the games like what’s commonly said. Iwata’s the reason GS was optimized enough to run at all. They hate that Iwata embarrassed them and they hate Masuda for having to crack the whip. TeraLeak 2 showed that Masuda’s consistently had to to be strict with game freak and it was causing resentment to the point were Masuda was kicked upstairs. Teraleak2 also revealed thsg Johto was supposed to get the next game but Game Freak said Johto sucks, do Kalos instead
TPC as a whole doesn’t hate Johto starters like game freak but the screw Johto starters mentally does spill over somewhat. Hence why no Johto starter appears in stuff like Pokken or Unite.
