I think we all agree this Mega is stupid. If Victreebel had his fangs still, this one would be even worse. As it stands, they’re both tied with Feraligatr, Pyroar and Heracross as the worst five Megas ever conceived. All hideous irredeemable ass.

But because Battle Bond Greninja was basically "Mega!Greninja" at the time, small wonder when they planned to add an ACTUAL mega for it, they removed the itemless form-change boostform for an actual mega form complete with held item, to put it back among the rest the plebian gimmickmons. 'Course you dumb monkeys weren't aware arsepull only existed because yujima painted himself into a corner, making megas only be defeated by other megas during XY (changed their choon quick-smart in Gen 7 and having regular bog-standards beat them all ends up, but megas weren't "The" gimmick of Gen 7, so they didn't need to pretend they were worthwhile any longer then) then BEGGING Game Freak to make a mega so his series wasn't total horseshit (didn't work kek).

Lucario and Charizard never stop getting shilled when their regions aren't the focus but it's like after Sun/Moon there was an abrupt decision to stop giving Greninja any attention until now with Legends Z-A. It's like it wasn't okay for Greninja to continue to be so popular in the eyes of whoever manages Pokemon.
