What are some prehistoric creatures that could make a good fossil duo?

Trying to think of my own, but I got regional fossils ideas based on Omanyte and Bastiodon.

I got this meme from an old thread about fossilmons, I think it would be a really funny idea.
Personally I'd love a Spinosaurus mon and a Gorgonopsid, there's so many cool ideas that could be ran with the sail on the Spinosaurus, and a fast Ground/Rock Gorgonopsid could be a really fun idea since we don't have anything quite like that.

my fakemon region has a Rock/Bug Arthropleura line and a Rock/Dark Inostrancevia line

I'm surprised they haven't made a fossil duo based on the phenomenon of finding fossils of dinosaurs mid-combat

I'd say it's a good time to include evolutionary links: a land lungfish (Tiktaalik), a mammal-like reptile (Dimetrodon), and an australopithecus.

Whether as separate Pokémon or part of the same evolutionary line, bonus points if it includes puns related to Darwin.
