What cancelled/abandoned games are you most disappointed never came out?
For me it's the Babylon 5: Into the Fire, which looked to be a Wing Commander clone. I remember seeing news about it somewhere, maybe PC Gamer, around the time I bought FreeSpace 2, then never heard anything about it again. Such a shame.

Sonic X-Treme for SEGA Saturn.

I love Sonic, I love early 3D polygon graphics and I love 5th generation 3D platformers in general, so this was perfect for me. I know from the footage it doesn't look great, but I have the feeling I would've at least had enough of a soft spot for it to love it more than all other 3D Sonic titles, maybe even more than most 2D ones, the aesthetic was amazing and its OST was incredible.

Already mentioned in several threads, but Star Fox 2. The franchise seems to have suffered over it, just confused over what to do

Man, I loved Powerslave, but I would not want Tekken segments spliced into it. I can only imagine how hard they were trying and failing to implement that without utterly destroying the pacing of the game.
also would the cat woman

too bad they dropped it, I'm sure I would've loved it at the time
but I suppose the time for cutesy, edgy, mascots with a 90s attitude was over. what with it not being the 90s anymore and all

There was a game very few people remember called Gruesome Castle, which was going to be a kind of 3D adventure game that ripped off Scooby Doo. They did a tech demo that I played loads; turned into vaporware.

The Last Ninja for the Tandy Color Computer 3. It even made it into the Radio Shack catalog before the programmer gave up trying to make it work on the ~2Mhz machine. Without hardware sprites or an audio chip, the CPU simply wasn't able to do everything the game needed it to do per frame.
