My favorite parts of it are the boss fights, which are like the shortest sections in the game. I think they had a fine game engine and gameplay at their disposal for it, but the whole fire fighting portion being the focus instead of just additional hazards for something more, really just feels like wasted potential. Then again, apparently the games entire existence was essentially as a tech demo for future projects, so I guess its kinda a miracle it ever made it out as a full game.

The Shining Force III trilogy is the magnum opus of the Saturn. I don't think anything can top it.

It's just the truth. Nobody played beyond the first two levels because it just ate your money even trying to learn the bosses. Die hard is the hardest for sure, but I found all the dynamite cop games not too hard to beat deathless.

Hard to imagine with how huge the PS library is that it wouldn't blow the Saturn out in the /m/ category but as I think about it, the Saturn does make a good case.
