That's a problem and there is a reduction in ads in protest until the mess is sorted out. But FujiTV ONE is their variety and sports subscription channel that doesn't have ads at all.

I would imagine GCCX has a high profit margin. The main costs would be game liscencing, staff salary, editing.

>Ai Senshi Nicol

Solid game. It's a top down exploration shooter game so it's not another 2D side scroller. Operation Logic Bomb (Ikari no Yōsai or Fortress of Wrath), and Guardian Legend, are similar top down shooting games they should try out some time. Ikari no Yōsai - had a super generic title in the west and was kind of slept on but it's solid.

Guardian legend has short ship shooting segments between levels, and the main levels plays a bit like the top down levels from Master Blaster or Zelda but with a gun.

It seemed like this was on a lot of 'muh Japan-only hidden gem'-type lists for a while back in the day, but has since been forgotten. I don't know if it's the fact that it's an FDS release or what, because it's definitely among the better Konami games for the system.

If you're a big fan of the show, that's probably not too bad of a deal for the chair I guess, since it'd still have some utility in addition to being a collectible show-used prop.

People are also constantly asking the twitch channel to stream it but I don't know if anyone is going to try

Because it's on so late in Japan time it's actually within reason for us to watch it.

Fuji TV execs were basically running an escort service using their female employees. Forcing them to go on dates with stars. One of them, a former boy band idol, sperged out and tried to rape a woman and broke her arm. He payed out a secret settlement of $500,000. This all came to light and 100% of Fuji TV's sponsors pulled out, and their entire leadership resigned.

The investigation is still on-going, and there have been attempts to link an unrelated scandal (Matsumoto Hitoshi of Downtown, which had his own harassment scandal last year) into the current Fuji Television scandal (that boy idol in question and Matsumoto did have one-off show together). Check out or ask >>>/jp/tv/ (the Japanese Movie and TV General, currently >>>/jp/49487144) if you need to know/ask more about it, they're following the case.

Days ago. Someone already uploaded the whole thing and the 24/7 gccx twitch channel played it last night. It's probably up to download somewhere but I haven't checked since I already watched the whole thing and have no desire to rewatch it.
I do want a webm of one moment where they zoomed in on a picture someone drew of Arino with bloodshot eyes and then overlayed it slowly over his face as he lost to Sandman for 3 straight hours with no breaks and it was nearing 5am though. It was really funny.

That screenshot is from Sonic the Hedgehog, literally the first GCCX episode to be in HD. It's possible that the only cap the original subbers could find at the time was from a non-HD version of the show's channel.

They were still doing it by S14, since those episodes are being worked on as well. I suspect they cropped it to cut down on filesize with "little of value" being lost. Also eliminated most of the letterboxing on the 4:3 videogames featured.

The older episodes were horribly preserved, with the goal of just getting the file sizes as small as possible. The show is still mostly distributed in 1280x720, despite being broadcast in 1080 for the same reasons.
