Falcoon is quite possibly the worst character designer in the history of video games. Every alt costume is unspeakably hideous.
Horrific character designs, weird story, awkward cutscenes. Nothing really good about it other than Lien's teats.

I would be the first to say KoF doesn’t work in 3D but I bought the second one (2006 I think?) at a discount and I had a good time with it. Fun to play and a decent roster outside of the original characters who all kinda suck.

I liked the way it combined rolls and sidestep inputs, so that either side + A+B gave you roll, but neutral or up/down + A+B gave you a 3D plane-hop to the side. It made use of 3D space authentically while still inputting and operating roughly the same as the usual KoF fashion. This was a pretty well-liked sidegame back in its time. The community around me mainly just dabbled in KoF compared to the usual SF or Tekken, but they did so in earnest with this game to an extent and KoF XI. Been a fuckin' while but I remember it controlling very fluidly and occupying my time well with unlocks.

I got regulation A since from what i've seen its the one people like the most and it feels odd.
