OP you make me realize just how thin the line between genius and insanity is.

I thought this would be some schizo nonsense, but that palm tree is way too similar to be a coincidence. It looks like they didn't even trace it, just had a worse artist try to copy it.

Maybe they all got it from the same source.

Yep. I wouldn't be surprised if tons of these late NES titles copied 16-bit games
Here's another example:

This shows the greatness of Konami. Both games look similar visually, but game play is night and day. Musha's is so primitive almost non existent, but Konami game have very complex various play style.

Did you know Hiroshi Yamauchi wasn't actually a human being? He was a vessel that enclosed 7 yakuza oni spirits from 7 different regions in Japan. These oni monopolized the gambling in Japan with the hanafuda Nintendo cards and put a spell so that no other company could produce cards, truly evil.

Yamauchi, often referred to as "ε€§ι”ηŽ‹ γƒ†γ‚£γƒ©γƒŽε€©ε ‚" (Great Evil King Tyranotendo), tyranized the video games market with his monopolic practises, it is said that the Master System or the PC Engine didn't actually ever exist, and that they were invented time after so hide the fact that the Famicom was actually the one and only console existing in Japan.

It released way after Sonic 1 and SMW. Adventure Island 2 didn't have these and it first released in 1991

Nothing was stolen, they reverse engineered it. There's nothing Nintendo could've done.
Of course now they'd just abuse the legal system and force Konami to either forfeit or risk bankruptcy.

There were other things which they changed up to reduce the similarities. Note how the earlier hud had a little clock icon for the timer, like in SMB3.
>>11810392
I get the feeling that Konami and Nintendo were pretty tight by that point. Konami consistently released quality games for their consoles, and they probably wanted popular developers still producing quality games that late in the life of the Famicom. It's also interesting how an early version of Castlevania 4 was found in Nintendo's archives.

Horrible example, these two are implemented completely differently
Crisis Force is impressively using VRC4 CHR bank switch to update the graphic every frame, uses a lot of ROM space but allows for simultaneous vertical parallax and horizontal scrolling and looks excellent for NES
MUSHA is just lazily using column scrolling mode that's already built into the VDP, not impressive in the slightest and can't even do horizontal scrolling

The best part is that TTA has a piece of code to display the "P" symbol on the hud. Which of course it doesn't have.

I love the game though, besides there are other characters with different physics, it's not like Buster is the only character and apart from that it's nothing like SMB3 really
