This resulted in a million crappy copycat hacks. Some were good but most weren't

Kaizo Mario is more fun than normal Mario and I'm tired of pretending its not!

I find no joy in these horribly difficult near impossible type of games. I will never get the appeal and I accept that I just never will.

kaizo Mario is for gays and losers, you get banned in Panga's chat if you even mention Dode now

That's not a very high bar to beat.

is there a super mario world hack that emphasizes the in air object stunts without the stipulation of it being excessively difficult? the way kaizo emphasizes those high end mechanics is cool I just don't need it to be ball bustingly difficult on top of that.

I wonder if when these games first started showing up, where they intended to be played with save states?
I don't see how they could be fun without save states, but they're not fun with save states either
Really they should just be made less difficult or have more checkpoints (in-game checkpoints would look more legit/fun instead of save states)

The "objects stunts" are called item abuse, and what you are asking for doesn't make any sense considering the tech itself is difficult.

The original Kaizo Mario trilogy was made for a video series on Niconico called β€œMaking My Friend Play My Mario Hack.” where the player, R. Kiba, played through Kaizo Mario World 1, 2, and 3 without savestates. That being said, most other early kaizo hacks are designed to be played with save states. Many don't even feature checkpoints since it was assumed the player wouldn't need them. There was a shift around 2017 toward hacks being designed to be played RTA without tools. Pretty much every modern kaizo hack is supposed to be played without save states. In most hacks you usually get a checkpoint every 1-2 minutes. You overcome the difficulty with practice. Once you get good enough at SMW, you start being able to beat these types of levels in only a few attempts. There are easier than normal kaizo hacks for beginners.

I wonder what Japan calls kaizos, since that just means modified in Japanese and we just call super hard to hacks that because of kaizo Mario
