You used this for mystery gift once then forgot it existed
>once
Every week when I gathered with my friends
Had an N64 in my room in pokemon gold. Good times.
I never used it. The only game that I had that I knew used the IR port was Pokemon Pinball and that was only used for trading high scores.
>>11820347 (OP)Did it have any other function than that?
>>11820347 (OP)I never used it.
I either used the link cable, only a few times, or much more likely loaded my Pokemon cart into Stadium.
>>11820347 (OP)there was a rumor in my area that you didn't need a link cable to trade pokemon, and everyone would sit there trying to get it to work even though it in fact does not work at all for that purpose
>>11820547I remember trying that. Two GBs with the sensors touching, seeing if we could trade.
>>11820347 (OP)WRONG! I used it all the time because I wanted as many plushies for my room in Pokemon Gold.
>>11820547>>11820557what is gay freak's excuse for this?
>>11820347 (OP)Nintendo sole that idea from Hudson's GB Kiss Link btw. Except GB Kiss Link was better because you could also connect to a computer and get DLC (actual DLC, but free) for your Game Boy games.
I used it for the Bomberman Max game.
I still use Mary kate and Ashley for my tv remote, tyvm. My wife fucking hates it
>>11821147Nintendo stole a standard form of data transfer from the 1980s?
it's sad that it's not actually "sending" the gift over. it's just displaying a code that tells your cart to give you the gift.
>>11820547You could use it to trade cards in harry potter and the chamber of secrets
>>11821142The connection is too unstable.
