For a while we got G4 which had a ton of cool and shit content before it merged with TechTV and became mostly shit content. Other than that, uh, Nick Arcade? Toonami has some game content but it was usually just filler(but good filler) between shows. Some areas had local access shows that covered gaming, we didn't. I'm sure people will show up acting like they watched Gaming in the Clinton Years when it originally ran, don't believe their lies.

For video games? I guess G4 was aired here in the early 2000s for a while on TechTV. It was utter trash. In the 90s... nothing, Video game shows weren't a thing that aired here at all for the 90s. Unless you're counting Super Mario Super Show or Captain N or Super Mario World show as much late 80s.

>>11823680
Few things are worse than Christian brainrot. That sort of shit messed up so many kids. Ren and Stimpy on the other hand... was just stupid. Maybe you'd remember lines and memes of it, but you didn't take shit to heart like that was how the world works, unlike religious garbage.

Only if you can show where the Bible (or even the church) teaches molesting boys is moral. Otherwise, blame the individuals who commit those acts instead of the religion that tells them not to do it in the first place.

We didn't have too much in the early 90s. I remember watching Video Power and thinking it was pretty cool. Half of it was game coverage (and thinly disguised advertorial content for Acclaim products) and the other half was a cartoon featuring a smattering of Acclaim characters fighting crime against the villains from NARC. It's hilariously B-team. Captain N gets Mega Man and Simon Belmont and Video Power gets...the cop from NARC and the tomato guy from Kwirk?
The second season had a complete format change and became a game show. The final around had the winning team running through a maze in a velcro suit and they'd try to stick game cartridges to them as they ran through it. Fucking kino honestly.
I was also a big fan of Nick Arcade which had some custom games (made by Psygnosis!) and a selection of console and Neo Geo games you could play where your partner would wager points to see if you could beat a score threshold on a game. It's historically interesting I guess because they had an early version of Sonic 2 on there.

For video games, DZ (Discovery Zone) was a kino place, since it had thos MiB and Godzilla: The Animated Series light gun games (featured heavily on their TV commercials). For your off-topic question, we can blame organizations/religions (like the Vatican cult) that have justified such actions by consistently excusing and moving around those "people" (instead of taking responsibility for them), yes, in the same way we don't accuse all strains of "non-religious" people of shooting up a Presbyterian Christian school for the sake of "enby and trans rights", encouraging murdering in the name of LeVeyan Satanism and Elizabeth Warren (Dayton shooting from a few years ago), or touching children at a furry convention. Go to the source text, where, when actually followed (ie, when the words of Christ and no one else is followed), encourages millstones being tied around those "people's" necks (as well as a not-for-profit outreached hand to anyone whose been hurt or even anyone wants to admit they've done wrong and be clean from their wrongdoings from the inside out). "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

oh zip it bitchboy. one of the actual reasons for christianity's decline that i never see anyone talk about is the amount of low IQ boomers that used it as a tool of punishment rather than one of spiritual enrichment. more than half the people my age i've met had some version of "my parents weaponized the faith against me which made me disillusioned with it and religion in general later in life"

Per capita, teachers and rabbis molest more children.
We shouldn't ignore any of it, but if it actually matters to you, you probably wouldn't only focus on the one group you beef with politically and socially.

Well, maybe not exactly Video Power. It's more a showcase on games, music, movies, amongst other things, but also primarly Video games for Canada in the 90s and up to the mid-2000s.

also it's main theme totally is a remix of Crash Man's Stage.

If you don't see a problem with a kid not being allowed to watch/play ANYTHING that's not fucking Mario nor Pixar until SEVENTH GRADE, you're either an extremely sheltered religious weirdo or acted like Butters as a kid and to this day believe nobody wanted to hang out with you because "kids are cruel" or some shit.

But after it left DirecTV well... that was almost the last I heard of it till getting back "Home" when I found that Bell had G4 on it but well, it felt kinda empty. Nothin' but Cops for the majority of the time.

I remember a show on YTV where they showcased and/or reviewed video games, I remember watching it in like, 1996. I remember it being kind of "edgy" but I was like, 9 at the time. Back during the Dreamcast launch, they started a new show filmed inside, I think the Playdium arcade around Toronto. Sega was one of the sponsors I believe.

So, I watched those two shows, Video & Arcade Top 10, Electric Playground, and that was pretty much it.
