I liked pat riley basketball. It was cool how there was a "QTE" for the dunks and 3 pointers so it felt less random compared to other basketball games.

Football for Atari 2600 is pretty fun
Need a buddy to play it without, of course

What's this game called? I normally ignore sports games but this looks fun.

Good point; I should look up Kunio Kun NES soccer games. I assume the one I'm looking for is "Kunio-kun's Nekketsu Soccer League"

Football. Not this "Madden" shit. Just plain-ass, normal, everyday, no question about it, no NFL, no year, not named after a player, not named after a coach, not named after the referee's pet goldfish, no quarterback, dime-back, Nickelback, simple, ordinary, un-embellished, unmistakable, crystal clear, as frank as Frankenstein, as blunt as an atom bomb! One compound word: It's MOTHERFUCKING, GODDAMNED, SONS-OF-BITCHIN', FUCK-FUCK-FUCKIN', FOOTBALL! And it's one of the worst games I ever played in my life.

I played a LOT of Double Dribble growing up. It was the only sports game I had aside from Pro Wrestling. I really liked NBA Jam and all it's sequels. I really liked NFL Blitz. And yeah I really liked Backyard Baseball. Definitely more of an arcadey sports game person.

Not surprising. There's no reason to get the censored Steam release when you can just get the original easily.

Winning Eleven 3: Final Ver. (PlayStation)

I think nothing compares to Konami's Winning Eleven titles on PlayStation and PlayStation 2, they were the peak of video games based on the world's biggest sport, and nothing came even close, not even FIFA, which sold more and was more popular due to a good marketing investment from EA, especially regarding the licenses, but on the pitch? Konami was king and most agreed, even Konami's own Internation Superstar Soccer couldn't compare to Winning Eleven, it's still the core of how the genre plays currently.

lately I've been liking Beach Spikers. Simple but solid mechanics.
