Willy Wombat
I'm at 99%. All gems, all HuCards. I believe I'm missing a single health pick-up, and I have no idea where it is. If I've combed every level and found every gem and HuCard, but I missed a single health pick-up, it must be hidden somewhere totally whack.

Any ideas?

You didnโ€™t beat the game if you follow a word of advice any anon gives.

But I did beat the game without advice, now I'm just looking to 100% it.

No, this game looks extremely boring. What compels you to do this?

That's your problem -- you judge a game based off for YouTube videos. I actually play games, and this game is fun.

The game is awesome. That being said, fuck. Still need to do a second playthrough to collect the Hudson stuff. I wonder if anyone has ever 100% it before. Maybe some Japanese kids

Looking for HuCards is actually kinda fun. There's a couple of BS ones (one where you have to kill 3 knights at the end of the level, and another where you have to damage boost some lava to even see it), but most of them are just "complete the level and find them at the end". A few are genuinely decently hidden, though.

kisaragi.g3.xrea.com/saturn/saturn1.html#willy

There's some interesting shit here. It seems there's 15 completed healths total. And it looks like the game has super secret cheat codes printed here that were obtained by setting the Saturn clock to dates in 97 and reading some gamer magazine from the time? I've been to the drama test menu and it's pretty much exactly as it sounds

Seems like 100% is possible, and I really am missing a "power life" from some level. Can't for the life of me figure out what one since I already combed through every single level with a fine-toothed comb -- twice.

I have to say, when I saw people talking about this game in the other thread I thought it was one of many mascot-ish platformers that came out in the US on the PS1 at the time. I wasn't expecting it to both be Saturn-exclusive and Japanese-exclusive of all things, especially with a name like Willy Wombat.

And to boot, almost all of the dialogue in the game is voiced over completely in English. Only the text is Japanese. It's such a weird, weird release.

Reminds me of Metal Wolf Chaos

Xbox-exclusive Japan-exclusive game with English voice acting where you a fictional (at the time future) president of the United States in a giant mecha.

The came would not have possibly been any less likely to come out in Japan, much less exclusive to Japan and on the Xbox no less.

The only thing this game needed, was a Sonic CD type animated intro to go along with its theme song.

Where do you find these images of multiple screenshots stitched together? There's no way you're making these yourself right? I can only imagine there's a website like launchboxDB or something that has these already made. Please tell me I really love these game collages.
Anonymous No.11866739

not him but you can easily make such collages online with sites like collagephoto.fr (that one is in french though).

also i'd play willy wombat if it wasn't a cereal mascot

It has rewarding platforming challenges and it's fun to explore the levels to collect all the thingies. Has nice music too and an autistic sonic adventure 1 type vibe with the story. It's basically the opposite of burning ranger and all the shitty cope 3d platformers the Saturn has. It doesn't have sexy graphics that prove the Saturn isn't a piece of shit but it's fun and it actually has a satisfying length to it
