Actually, yes. It was a bootleg Mario from the 80s and Nintendo actually managed to sue and get it banned. Ironically though decades later a second game was made and released on the NintendoDS of all things. (Unless you count Hard 'n' Heavy as the second game, which started out as a Giana Sisters game but was changed to having robot characters to avoid another lawsuit)

I discovered the game in 2008 thanks to a coworker when we were playing games on Mame during breaks. Others got into it, and we soon could do some small tournaments.

When spectating, everyone loved laughing at moments like these unfair fuckups or cheering during the tense moments with bosses. Good times and pigbirds ftw.

Currently I only have trouble with the fairies, the bats, and Memory because she is stupidly overpowered, although Ran's rabicats are also bullshit at times. Pigbirds seemed to work alright, the boss isn't bad and I liked the charged shot. Memory and Mevious were tacitly banned, but yeah the fairies and rabicats are annoying.
