Echo Night is a 10/10 choice for a game. Fully 3D horror adventure, but not violent or gory. Echo Night, Clock Tower, Fatal Frame, and Sound novels, can give them enough horror adventure games forever. They still have one more Clock Tower game to tackle, Clock Tower 3. They're getting pretty good at doing one hororr game a year during summer (though last year they did it during the fall).

Oh nice the show is actually acknowledging the pattern they've been in for since 2022. Would love to see the Twilight games at some point.

Game choices this season are top notch. No lame shit like Dragon Quest or gimmicky N64 titles. I'm hoping they round it out by ending it with Link's Awakening, since they typically do a Zelda every 5 years, and we're due for one.

Alright, this is the episode where the AD does Karaoke and absolutely disgusts some old lady with how poor his singing is. Also where the AD's cause a crisis by accidentally bumping into where the console plugs in.

Have they ever said why they make arino play on an lcd instead of a crt? It looks like they plug regular component into the back of the lcd so its not like cables are an issue.

Also they almost never film the actual screen either so screen flicker can't be an issue either.

Strange choice. Only good news is one of the eps from last season had them clean out the back storage room, and I spotted MGS: Ghost Babel in a box so they are at least aware of the game.

I remember asking the question here a while ago, and I think it might have been something to do with ease of capturing the footage on an LCD vs a CRT?
I was always confused by that, too though in theory if they can get it to work on a CRT once they can just use that same setup every time.
Not to mention they go so far out of their way to play on original hardware etc for legality/authenticity reasons I thought they'd stick with a CRT.
It might also just be that CRTs aren't as reliable/easy to fix/replace or so heavy and bulky it's just a logistical thing?

I did read somewhere that the voice over guy in English was just given a script with zero context or explanation, so he just pronounced everything verbatim and had to try to guess the tone. He probably didn't even speak Japanese, hence 'Areeno' and 'Abe'

I always thought Ecco the Dolphin or Abe's Oddysee would be fun challenges but they never had much presence in Japan and the latter is probably a bit too violent.
