There's a good way for a game to make fun of fags, and there's a bad way. For example, Tingle in MM/WW was clearly a faggot but it was subtle enough to remain somewhat tasteful and funny. Then, there's FF7's approach. I'd say it's a legitimate "I turned the game off right there" worthy flaw. This isn't some side character having a wink and nod personality or something, it's the main character being sodomized by a group of strongmen in a funhouse bath tub. I don't care if it's "optional", not to mention you can just walk into it by accident. It's literally the game saying, "you want to keep playing? well guess what bud, now you have to play as character that got raped LMAO".
