I can't think of a single swamp level I like in any game. People shit on water levels but almost nothing is more gay and cancerous than swamp levels. Typical tropes include:
>can't move through swamp goop without an item, or you move slowly
>dude poison
>tiny insect enemies that are annoying or unsatisfying to kill
>dumb platforming shit like jumping on lilly pads that slowly sink
>boring brown and dark green aesthetics 99% of the time
Swamp levels are garbage. Nothing kills my enjoyment of a game more than that shit.

Swamps are fucken scary, mate. Usually there's all sorts of shit that can kill you horribly. Absolutely frightening. You just have no appreciation for these things in real life.

It may not look it because of its short length but Bloody Swamp is actually one of the hardest levels in Kid Chameleon

This one hit me with a powerful nostalgia.

Forest and swamp levels are almost always shit tier idk why. I think it’s an issue of often times there being low visibility and low contrast making everything look the same and boring. I think the only swamp or plant level I like in a game I can recall off the top of my head is felucia from starwars battlefront 2 (2005) because there are enough colors everywhere and the foliage isnt totally dense everywhere. Endor levels (all green) suck ass to play as I’m starwars games because it makes seeing the enemy much more difficult in many cases and it’s too easy to get lost without any obvious landmarks.
