Best NES game and I will not be told otherwise. The remake was pretty damn good too.

Contrary to what many seem to think, their d-pads while having an optimal + shape which is good for 2D movement, still needs to be designed well. Just because the shape is there won't mean its comfortable to constantly keep pressing for long hours in a gaming session. I remember NES and SNES d-pads feeling very abrasive on the thumbs once you play long enough which was maybe no more than a couple hours.

It sort of is though. Just a very niche one that isn't all that popular. There is a sequel on Gameboy. The thing is none of the games are as solid as the NES game besides the remake really.

Bionic Commando is awesome

It's the platonic ideal of a remake imo.

Try cutting one finger off a cotton glove and wear that over your left thumb. I do that when I play street fighter.

What are some other grapplekinos besides Bionic Commando, Magical Quest, Umihara Kawase, Super Castlevania IV and Bloodlines?

>There is a sequel on Gameboy.
More like an anime-fied remake, and then another on GBC, and then came ReArmed.

Comments on the gameboy color game?
I got filtered by not being able to jump
But what do you guys think? Should I give it another try?
Anonymous No.11887257
Do you guys play US or Japanese? I had never cared much before but looking into the Japanese version I had never realized how much more generous it is extra lives. It's even cool in the sense that most of them require tricks or careful timing to get, I would collect them just for fun even. It's not game changing but I think it's tbe version I would suggest to people now.

It's enjoyable, better than the GB port but worse than NES/Rearmed.

Personally I would've preferred smaller sprites in exchange for a larger screen space and there's a few levels where the grappling blocks were a bit hard to see but the platforming itself is fun so it's worth at least a playthrough.

Also be aware that there's a glitch with saves, before loading it you need to start a new game and get a game over or something along those lines.
